How to Connect to a Barotrauma Server
Join your Barotrauma server, invite friends, and check common connection problems.
Open Dashboard → Servers, choose Manage on your server, and find Connection. Copy Address, including the colon and number at the end.
Connect
- Open Barotrauma’s server list.
- Select the direct-join option.
- Paste the complete Address and join.
- Enter the player password if prompted. Follow the game’s required-content prompts before entering the lobby.
Invite friends
Share the full address and the player password, if one is set. Friends also need compatible versions of any required mods.
If you cannot join
If the game reports missing or incompatible content, check the server’s mod list with its owner. Recheck the full address if direct join fails.
Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
