Privacy Policy

We built Jovian Games around isolated VPS infrastructure, not ad revenue. That means we collect only what we need to run your servers and account — not a profile to sell elsewhere.

We collect only what we need to operate the Service:

• Account information — name, email, username, and password (stored hashed)
• Billing information — payment and subscription details processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers
• Order and server data — game selections, region, size, provisioning status, dashboard access records
• Support communications — messages you send through our support system
• Technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages viewed on our site, and operational logs when you use the Service

Game content and player data on your game server are customer content. We process that only to host and back up your server.

We use personal information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provision, operate, and support your game servers
• Process payments and send billing notices
• Respond to support requests and incidents
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Comply with legal obligations when required

We do not use your information for cross-site advertising or third-party marketing profiles.

We use first-party cookies strictly to operate the site: keeping you signed in, session preferences, and account security. These are limited to jovian.games and our subdomains.

We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies, Facebook pixels, Google Analytics cross-site identifiers, or comparable off-site tracking tools.

We use infrastructure and payment partners that process data on our behalf:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Hetzner and Vultr — virtual machine infrastructure, selected by region
• Cloudflare — DNS and edge security
• Object storage providers — game images and static assets

They may not use your data for their own marketing. We do not authorize them to sell your information.

We do not sell personal information. We share data only when:

• Service providers need it to deliver the Service under confidentiality obligations
• Legally required — we receive a valid warrant, subpoena, or court order that compels disclosure after we review it
• Safety — disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or imminent harm, as permitted by law
• Business transfer — in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this policy

We will not voluntarily provide bulk customer data to law enforcement. If we believe a request is overbroad or invalid, we will challenge it where appropriate.

We retain account and billing records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and accounting requirements. Backups follow our retention policy. You may request deletion subject to legal obligations.

We use encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls on production systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

You may access and update account information from your dashboard, cancel subscriptions, and request a copy or deletion of personal data we hold.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect their information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data and we will delete it.

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using the Service, you acknowledge those transfers with appropriate safeguards where required.

We may update this policy and will post revisions here with an updated date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-dashboard notice.
