How to Connect to a Don’t Starve Together Server
Join your Don’t Starve Together server, invite friends, and check common connection problems.
You’ll need the name your server uses in the game’s server list and its player password, if one is set. This name can differ from the game title on your Jovian server card. Ask the owner or Jovian Support if you don’t know it.
Connect
- Start Don’t Starve Together and open Browse Games.
- Search for your server’s name.
- Select the server and join. Enter its password if asked.
Invite friends
Share the server name and player password. Friends do not need your Klei server token.
If you cannot join
Make sure browser filters are not hiding password-protected or modded servers. Use Don’t Starve Together, rather than the single-player Don’t Starve. Check required mod versions if the game reports a mismatch.
Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
