How to Connect to an Insurgency: Sandstorm Server
Join your Insurgency: Sandstorm server, invite friends, and check common connection problems.
You’ll need the name your server uses in the game’s server list and its player password, if one is set. This name can differ from the game title on your Jovian server card. Ask the owner or Jovian Support if you don’t know it.
Connect
- Start Insurgency: Sandstorm and open the community server browser.
- Find the server by its name and select it.
- Join, enter its player password if requested, and allow required content to download.
Invite friends
Share the server name and player password, plus any required mod information. Keep the server’s admin credentials private.
If you cannot join
Check that you are browsing community servers, rather than starting matchmaking. If required mods fail to download or your platform cannot join, contact the owner or Support with the error.
Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
