How to Connect to a Starbound Server

Open Dashboard → Servers, choose Manage on your server, and find Connection. Use IPv4 for the game’s IP/address box. For its port box, use the number after : in Address.

Connect

1. Start Starbound and select Join Game.
2. Choose your character.
3. Enter the IPv4 and port from Jovian.
4. Leave the server account blank unless the owner supplied one. Enter the server password or supplied account password as instructed by the owner, then join.

Invite friends

Share the IPv4 and port. If the owner configured server accounts, each player should receive their own account details; otherwise share only the join password, if used.

If you cannot join

Do not enter your Steam or Jovian password into the server login. Confirm the required mods and game version with the owner if joining fails.

Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
