Steam Logon Tokens for ATS and ETS2

American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 dedicated servers can use a Steam server logon token for a persistent Steam server identity. The token is optional, but recommended for a server you plan to keep running.

Create your token

Open Steam Game Server Account Management and sign in with the Steam account that owns the game.

Use the App ID for the game, not the dedicated-server application:

• American Truck Simulator: 270880
• Euro Truck Simulator 2: 227300

Give the token a recognizable memo and select Create.

Do not use the dedicated-server App ID

The dedicated-server software uses different App IDs:

• ATS Dedicated Server: 2239530
• ETS2 Dedicated Server: 1948160

Those are used to install the server software. They are not the IDs to use when creating the server logon token.

Enter it on Jovian

Paste the generated token into the Steam Auth Token field for your server. Jovian writes it into the server configuration automatically.

Is it required?

No. The server can run anonymously, but an anonymous server receives a non-persistent Steam server identity. A token is recommended for a long-running server.

Keep the token private. If it is exposed, delete it from Steam Game Server Account Management and create a replacement.
