How to Connect to a Valheim Server

Open Dashboard → Servers, choose Manage on your server, and find Connection. Copy Address, including the colon and number at the end. Have the server’s player password ready.

Connect

1. Start Valheim, select your character, and open Join Game.
2. Select Add server and enter the full Address.
3. Select the saved server, connect, and enter its password.

Invite friends

Share the full address and player password. For a crossplay server, you can instead share its current join code, which players enter through Add server. Ask the owner or Support for that code; Jovian does not currently display it.

If you cannot join

Match the game version and any required client mods. Steam-only servers and crossplay servers support different clients, so confirm the server’s setup if friends are on another platform.

Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.

Modded Valheim
