Arma Reforger
Arma Reforger Server Settings
Configure your Arma Reforger server name, passwords, scenario, visibility, BattlEye, and gameplay options.
Arma Reforger exposes several settings that control how your server appears, who can join, which scenario runs, and how players interact with it.
Server Name
Server Name is the name players see in the Arma Reforger server browser.
Choose something recognizable for your group or community. The server configuration supports names up to 255 characters, but a shorter name is easier to find and read in the browser.
Server Password
Server Password controls who can join the server.
- Leave it blank for a public server.
- Set a password for a private server.
- Players will need this password when connecting.
The server password can be up to 32 characters.
Admin Password
Admin Password is separate from the normal Server Password and is used for administrative access.
Use a strong password and only share it with people you trust to administer the server. The admin password can be up to 32 characters.
Scenario ID
Scenario ID tells Arma Reforger which scenario or mission to run.
The default Jovian configuration uses the standard campaign scenario:
{ECC61978EDCC2B5A}Missions/23_Campaign.conf
If you want to run a different scenario, replace this value with the scenario ID expected by Arma Reforger. Valid scenario IDs are also listed in the server console during startup.
If you are unsure, leave the default value in place.
Max Players
Max Players controls the maximum number of simultaneous players. The server configuration accepts values from 1 to 256.
A high configured limit does not guarantee that a particular Jovian server size can comfortably support that many players. Mods, scenarios, AI activity, and the selected server resources all affect practical capacity.
Server visibility and joining
Visible in Server Browser controls whether the server appears in the browser.
Auto Joinable controls whether the session can be selected through Arma Reforger's auto-join feature.
For a normal public server, leaving both enabled is usually the simplest choice. For a private community, you can still use a Server Password even if the server remains visible.
BattlEye
Enable BattlEye controls Arma Reforger's anti-cheat support.
When enabled, clients connecting to the server are expected to run BattlEye. Unless you have a specific reason to disable it, leave this enabled.
Third-person view
Disable Third Person controls whether players can use the third-person camera.
false— third-person view remains available.true— third-person view is disabled.
This is a gameplay preference and does not affect server authentication.
Advanced settings
Jovian also exposes advanced options such as Max FPS, Log FPS Interval, and Validate Server Files.
Most servers should leave these at their defaults. File validation is primarily a repair option and can significantly increase startup time.
Having trouble?
If players cannot find the server, check Visible in Server Browser, the server name, and whether the server has finished starting.
If players can find the server but cannot join, verify the Server Password and make sure they are entering the player password rather than the Admin Password.
If the wrong mission starts, verify the Scenario ID exactly.
If you still have trouble, contact Support with your order ID. Do not include passwords in a public post or support-ticket subject.
