How to Connect to a Counter-Strike 2 Server
Join your Counter-Strike 2 server, invite friends, and check common connection problems.
Open Dashboard → Servers, choose Manage on your server, and find Connection. Copy Address, including the colon and number at the end. These steps use the Steam desktop client’s server list.
Connect
- Start Counter-Strike 2.
- In Steam, open View → Game Servers → Favorites.
- Use + to save the Address.
- Select it and Connect; supply its player password if asked.
Invite friends
Share the full address and player password, if used. Players do not need your Steam Game Server Login Token (GSLT).
If you cannot join
Check that CS2 is selected in the server list and that the complete address was saved. If Steam cannot find it, give Support the address and error message; do not substitute a guessed port.
Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
