How to Connect to a DayZ Server

You’ll need the name your server uses in the game’s server list and its player password, if one is set. This name can differ from the game title on your Jovian server card. Ask the owner or Jovian Support if you don’t know it. Use the DayZ launcher for the same release as the server.

Connect

1. Open the DayZ launcher’s server list and select Community.
2. Search for your server’s name.
3. Join the matching server. Let the launcher set up any required mods when prompted.
4. Enter the server’s player password if requested.

Invite friends

Share the server name and player password. Friends need the matching DayZ release and the server’s required mods.

If you cannot join

Check Community rather than the official-server list. DayZ and DayZ Experimental are separate releases. If joining fails after a mod update, let the launcher finish updating the required mods.

Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
