How to Connect to a Factorio Server
Join your Factorio server, invite friends, and check common connection problems.
Open Dashboard → Servers, choose Manage on your server, and find Connection. Copy Address, including the colon and number at the end.
Connect
- Launch Factorio and open Play → Multiplayer.
- Select Connect to address.
- Paste the full Address and connect.
- Enter the server password if asked. If prompted about mods, follow the game’s instructions to match the server.
Invite friends
Share the address and player password. Players use their own Factorio accounts; they do not need the server’s Factorio token.
If you cannot join
Factorio requires matching game versions and mods. Ask the owner which version to use if an update or mod mismatch prevents joining.
Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
