Project Zomboid
How to Connect to a Project Zomboid Server
Join your Project Zomboid server, invite friends, and check common connection problems.
Open Dashboard → Servers, choose Manage on your server, and find Connection. Use IPv4 for the game’s IP/address box. For its port box, use the number after : in Address. You will also create an account for this game server. This is separate from your Jovian login.
Connect
- Start Project Zomboid and open the multiplayer server browser.
- In Favorites, add a server. Give it a Favorite name and enter the IPv4 and port.
- Fill in Server Password only if the owner has set a shared join password.
- Choose your own Account Username and Account Password. Save the entry and select Join Server.
Invite friends
Share the IPv4, port, and shared Server Password, if used. Each friend should choose their own account username and password; do not share your personal server account.
If you cannot join
Use the same game build and required mods as the server. Keep using the same account details when returning. If account creation is restricted, ask the owner to create your account rather than using an admin login.
Still stuck? Check the server’s status in Jovian, allow startup time, then contact Support with its ID and the error message.
